Fehmi Kinay, the General Manager of Tarım Kredi Yem Inc. toured the corn flake facility, which was built by General Directorate of Tarım Kredi Feed Inc. in Kütahya for 6 million Turkish Liras. Following his visit, he said that the company is listed among the top 153 industrial companies of Turkey and has an experience of 40 years. “The feed sector in Turkey grows fast. As the Tarım Kredi Family, we increased our share, from seven percent to ten percent within this year. Now, we have 10 factories with an annual production capacity of 1 million tons. The largest facilities among them are those in Balıkesir and Kütahya,” he said. The feed sector has grown in parallel with the animal husbandry, according to him. “Thanks to the government’s initiative recently, there has been a serious increase in the feed production and capacity in line with the increase in the number of animals. We planned new investments related to this. We lay foundation for a feed facility in Şanlıurfa this year. Hopefully, we will make another investment in İzmir in the forthcoming days,” he said.
Stating that the annual turnover of Tarım Kredi Yem Inc. has exceeded one billion Turkish Liras, Kinay said that they show efforts to bring this turnover to 2 billion liras. Kinay underlined that the company leads effort to reduce foreign-dependency in the feed. “We have the understanding to produce raw materials, which we bought from abroad, in Turkey and export these materials. I think we can manage this within a short period of time,” he said.
